Give me a word, any word. Working my magic.

Once upon at time I bragged to a college friend that I could make up a story about anything. Just give me a word and I would tell you a story about it. Any word at all and I could whip up a tale, which I could relate back to something I experienced in my life.

This was after I had told the most "interesting" tale involving my brother, a science experiment and a fork. The fork was never the same.

So my friend upon encouragement said, "Sure." Tell me about a rock. A rock, a pebble, a stone. And your life. How do they intermingle. Relate? Interweave? Color saturates my life. And words only half describe it.

My blog's intent is to tell little vignettes about my life. I will pick out one event, thought, idea -- whatever comes to mind or has influenced my day -- and share it with you, the reader. And because I am a librarian, who spends her days surrounded by stories, information, questions, and yes --colorful people, I will then somehow, in all my talented (albiet excentric) logic, relate it to our wonderful institution, the public library. :)

P.S. I never did get around to telling him that story about a rock.
